Position: Rotor Specialist

Job Description

Preparing, coordinating and carrying out all mechanical maintenance works for inspections and
repairs of Gas turbine Rotors at customer’s site according to the client's quality and Safety Standards, at
the estimated cost and time.

Duties and responsibilities

Reports to the site manager.
Provide mechanical on-site Technical Direction and supervision during Disassembly/ Reassembly, Inspections, Stacking/Unstacking, and Inspections of Rotors during Maintenance of Customer Owned Power Generation or Industrial Facilities utilizing Siemens/Ansaldo V94.2 Gas Turbines.
Hands-on capability to repair, assemble and disassemble Gas turbine and compressor blades/vanes
Supervise contract employees/manpower by providing directions/instructions, monitor quality and progress during Gas Turbine Rotor overhauls.
Management of site activities like planning/integration/monitoring of resources and technical assistance based on agreed contractual work scope.
Ensure accurate installation/troubleshooting/maintenance & diagnostics of gas turbines and all rotating equipment according to the client's Specifications, engineering instructions, drawings & process instructions.
Ensure all field activities are carried out safely complying with the client’s (QHES) guidelines and
Proper and prompt reporting of all required project documentation (protocols, inspection reports, as-built drawings, Work Instructions, daily progress, Defects and non-conformity, etc.) to Site Manager.


Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven track record of executing Gas Turbine overhaul projects in the above mentioned type as a Rotor Specialist on an international stage.


Able to communicate in the English language fluently.
Able to read and interpret mechanical, piping and Instrumentation drawing
Qualified to high standard in manufacture and testing of piping and general mechanical work.
Skilled in the use of Boroscope Equipment, measuring instruments, machine and hand tools.
Reporting, progress and As-Built information
Understanding of NDT technology is an added advantage.


10+ Years’ experience in Gas Turbine maintenance, installation and commissioning in power generation or oil & gas industry.
Experience to understand and implement mechanical drawings.
Excellent understanding of Gas Turbine units and their associate equipment
